The architect John Puttick Associates wanted to include a wayfinding system as part of their proposal for the Croydon Youth Zone in South London. After carrying out a site survey of the building shell, a strong visual language was developed to work in harmony with the interior architecture.
Bold iconography and simple colour pops set against black or white substrates inspired by the plan form of the building kept navigation simple and effective. A detailed sign schedule was also created to assist implementation.
